As an Apprentice Business Administrator at SUEZ, Recycling and Recovery UK, you’ll support the business in several areas, including customer services and mobilisation. You will also perform general administration duties.

Our Business Administration Apprenticeship roles are offering the candidate a great opportunity to learn and develop with SUEZ as a company.

About The Role

  • Salary £10.52 per hour / £20,514.00 per annum
  • Working 08.00am - 16.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid) each day
  • Monday - Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week 
  • Working at the Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre

About the Apprenticeship:

Course: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship

Duration: 1 year

Location: Cornwall College St Austell

About the role

What will I be doing?

Be the first and main point of contact for all new and existing customer enquiries, taking incoming calls and emails from both Internal and External customers

Deliver first time resolutions where possible and collaborate with internal departments to obtain appropriate information to resolve the matter for the customer

Log inbound/outbound call details in the call handling system for audit purposes

The responsibility to deliver accurate contract information to ensure all services are accurately set up on internal billing systems

To support in maintaining and competing works orders within our customer portals where required

To support on providing customer data such as reports, waste transfer notes and other copy documents for compliance

Be responsible for the group email inbox and deal with/re-direct any enquiries accordingly

Carry out filing, scanning and general organisational tasks for the team

What are the requirements/qualifications?

Ideally the job holder will have some previous administration experience and must be computer literate; able to use databases and Microsoft Office to at least an intermediate level

GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade C or above.

Excellent communication and listening skills

They will be required to complete tasks to deadlines in a busy environment and have excellent organisational skills. 

Some experience of problem solving and dealing with internal and external customers helpfully and courteously would also be advantageous.

Work well as part of a team but can also work on their own using their own initiative
