As a compensation we offer salary of £43,561 plus Car Scheme (this can be company car or car allowance- £7,356), Annual Bonus up to 10%, Company Pension (5% employer contribution), 25 Holiday Days + Banking Holiday, Benefits Catalogue.

About the role

What will I be doing?

Based at Perkins Engines in Peterborough, you’ll take full operational responsibility for one of our key Integrated Solutions contracts, where SUEZ manages on-site waste and recycling services on behalf of our client.

You’ll be leading a team of 12 direct reports (Team Leader, Supervisor, and Site Operatives) while ensuring we meet our recycling and recovery performance targets, deliver excellent service to our client, and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing site operations, including mobile plant, baling equipment, and a small Water Treatment Plant.
  • Driving team performance against KPIs for both SUEZ and our client.
  • Overseeing material flow management and ensuring contractual service excellence.
  • Providing strong leadership, coaching, and development for your team.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for our client, building strong and professional working relationships.
  • Producing reports and documentation to report back to our client and internal stakeholders
  • Financial responsibility and accountability for the site

 

What are the requirements?

  • Proven supervisory or management experience within recycling, waste, or heavy industry.
  • COTC Managing Transfer Hazardous Waste (4TSH) WAMITAB
  • NEBOSH general certificate
  • Strong people management and communication skills, with confidence when engaging both internal teams and clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using operational admin systems.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to ensuring safe and efficient site performance.
