What will I be doing as a Regional Maintenance Manager?
You will manage a portfolio of mechanical treatment plants, transfer stations and HWRCs, within the Greater Manchester Contract Authority, ensuring the delivery of the strategic maintenance plan and full compliance with:
- Regulatory standards for Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- SUEZ recycling and recovery UK Asset Management system and policies (ISO 55001:2014 accredited).
You will ensure that all facilities in your region are operating effectively, within each individual plant / site design parameters, as well as efficiently and within operational cost constraints.
What are the requirements?
You will need a solid background in maintenance engineering, ideally within the waste / recycling or a similar process industry, backed up with relevant qualifications, certificates and training. This will include supervisory / management experience, with in depth knowledge of planned maintenance and asset management, from a strategic and commercial approach.
- Degree or minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Experience of working in a process industry, ideally waste / recycling
- Knowledge of ISO 55001:2014 Asset Management
- Experience of Environmental Legislation
- A Health and Safety qualification is desirable (IOSH, NEBOSH etc.)
- Commercial acumen of lifecycle analysis, asset replacement and planned maintenance activities.
You will need excellent confident communications skills and used to managing varied and multi-disciplined engineering teams. SUEZ take pride in the development of their staff so will invest in any training required or for ongoing progression.
