About the role

About the role

This is a training-led, junior IT role designed for those with little or no professional IT experience. Full training will be provided.

During training (typically 1 month): 5 days per week onsite in Maidenhead

Once trained: Hybrid working – 3 days per week in Maidenhead

You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues, gain hands-on responsibility early, and build skills that set you up for long-term growth in IT.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide first-line IT support to colleagues via phone, email and Microsoft Teams
  • Resolve basic issues across desktops, mobiles, applications and networks, escalating where needed
  • Deliver friendly, inclusive and professional customer service at all times
  • Support account setup and deactivation, following security and data policies
  • Create and update clear knowledge base articles to improve self-service and team learning

What we’re looking for

  • You don’t need to tick every box – we’re keen to hear from people with potential.
  • GCSEs or A-levels (or equivalent) in core subjects such as English and Maths
  • An interest in IT, technology or digital services (qualifications are welcome but not essential)
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in plain language
  • A customer-focused mindset with empathy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Awareness of basic IT security principles (passwords, phishing, data handling)

We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone feels valued and included. If you’re excited about this opportunity but don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply. Your unique experience, perspective, and potential could be exactly what we’re looking for. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and growth — including competitive pay, pension plans, health and wellbeing programs, learning opportunities, and career development. Everything you need to thrive, both professionally and personally. Join us in transforming today’s environmental challenges into tomorrow’s innovative water and waste solutions.
