In return, we offer a salary up to £45,000 plus up to 10% Bonus (~ £4,500), Call-Out Allowance (~ £3,000), Company Pension, and benefits catalogue

- About the role

What will I be doing?
You'll help ensure our Bolton energy recovery plant remains safe, reliable, and highly available:

Plan, lead, and carry out mechanical maintenance activities to maximise plant performance and minimise downtime.

Supervise and develop junior members of the mechanical maintenance team, providing specialist technical guidance and support.

Champion health & safety, environmental standards, and best-practice approaches in all maintenance work.

Identify and implement improvements to boost plant availability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Ensure full compliance with relevant environmental legislation and internal safety protocols.
What are the requirements?

Proven experience in a hands-on mechanical maintenance role within heavy industry, process engineering, energy from waste, power generation, or similar industrial environments (essential).

HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience) with strong mechanical aptitude.

Good working knowledge of environmental legislation relevant to industrial operations.

Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team while clearly explaining technical concepts.

A Health & Safety qualification (desirable but not essential — we support ongoing development).
