Ready to lead projects that use technology to make water and waste services smarter and more sustainable? We’re seeking a proactive Project Manager to join our Digital Solutions team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You’ll deliver innovative software and engineering solutions that help utilities and smart metering clients reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency.

In return we offer salary of £47,000 per annum, annual bonus, company car, 1% benefit allowance, pension, 36 days annual leave including bank holidays - rising to 38 days after 3 years of service, enhanced parental leave, life assurance, salary sacrifice schemes and more.

About the role

What will I be doing?

You’ll manage the full lifecycle of digital and engineering projects, keeping everything on track and stakeholders informed:

  • Lead multiple concurrent projects from post-sale through to successful delivery and handover.
  • Coordinate software deployments, smart metering rollouts, and related engineering work.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with UK and international teams (France, US, New Zealand) and join occasional calls outside standard hours.
  • Monitor budgets, support invoicing milestones, and ensure alignment with customer and commercial priorities.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday hybrid role with predominantly home working and some UK/Ireland travel plus rare international trips.

What are the requirements?

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and career stages — transferable skills and enthusiasm for sustainable tech are valued as highly as direct experience:

  • Proven project delivery experience (e.g., Project Manager, Product Owner, or PMO role); entry-level candidates with strong aptitude welcome.
  • Understanding of complex software or engineering projects, ideally in utilities, water, or infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and produce clear RAID logs/documentation.
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Agile) desirable; flexible approach and occasional non-standard hours essential.

We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups in technology, digital, and sustainability sectors. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the application or interview process, please let us know — we’re committed to being an inclusive employer.
