About the role

What will I be doing?

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for an entry‑level role, early‑career opportunity, or a position that supports long‑term career development. Whether you’re starting out, returning to work, or progressing from a graduate scheme, you’ll join a supportive and collaborative customer service and administrative team.

You will play a key part in delivering an excellent customer experience and supporting the smooth running of our waste management services, contributing to our commitment to sustainability and responsible operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to our Customer Service team and ensuring accurate data input.
  • Processing supplier and customer invoice queries with professionalism and care.
  • Managing duty of care documentation and ensuring compliance with service requirements.
  • Setting up new customer accounts, from contract creation through to service amendments.
  • Creating tickets for waste collections promptly and supporting customer reporting using Excel.

You’ll be joining an inclusive team that values people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups and welcome candidates who bring curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to learn. If you need reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process or in the workplace, just let us know, we’re happy to support you.

What are the requirements?

You don’t need previous experience in the waste management sector — full training will be provided. We’re looking for someone who is organised, accurate, and confident communicating with both colleagues and suppliers.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data input, and basic Excel skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Confidence working with numbers and good mathematical competence.
  • The ability to stay organised, solve problems, and manage varied tasks.
  • Basic qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).

Previous administrative experience or knowledge of the waste management industry is helpful but not essential, we value potential and a positive approach just as much as experience.
If you’re looking for a role where you can grow, make a real impact, and contribute to a more sustainable future, we’d love to hear from you.
