What will I be doing?
SUEZ runs several recycling and processing facilities in Aberdeen, supporting greener, more sustainable communities. As an Operations Administrator, you’ll play an important role in keeping our recycling operations running smoothly. This is an entry-level opportunity, ideal for a graduate or early‑career candidate, but open to people at all stages of their working life who want to make a positive environmental impact.
Working closely with Managers and Supervisors, you’ll use your organisational and problem‑solving skills to support day-to-day operations while learning how a large sustainability-focused business works. You’ll also be encouraged to share ideas and help improve how we work.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Implementing and maintaining standardised systems to ensure efficient and consistent administrative processes
- Using operational databases to create clear, accurate reports that support decision-making
- Raising purchase orders for items ranging from office supplies to plant spare parts
- Supporting the resolution of invoice, data and telephone queries in a professional and timely way
- Identifying opportunities to reduce duplication and streamline administrative processes across the site
This role offers real responsibility, hands-on experience, and the chance to contribute directly to recycling and sustainability outcomes that matter.
What are the requirements?
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, inclusive, and ready to learn. You don’t need to come from a specific background – transferable skills and the right mindset matter most.
You’ll ideally bring:- Administrative or office-based experience (this could include placements, internships, part-time roles, or a graduate scheme) or a qualification in Business Administration.
- Confidence using IT systems, databases and Microsoft Office, with strong numerical and written communication skills
- A proactive, safety-conscious attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team
- A full UK driving licence, as the site location requires independent travel
- You’ll enjoy taking ownership of tasks, solving problems, and bringing fresh ideas to improve how things are done.
Inclusion & accessibility
At SUEZ, we’re committed to building a workplace where everyone belongs. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, ages and experiences, and we actively encourage underrepresented groups to apply. If you need reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process or in the role itself, please let us know – we’re here to support you.
If you’re looking for an Operations Administrator role in Aberdeen that combines administration, sustainability and real-world impact, we’d love to hear from you.
