Are you a people-first leader who thrives on developing teams and delivering efficient, safe operations? Join us as Senior Site Manager and play a key leadership role in managing our recycling and waste recovery sites across Cornwall.
This senior position offers real impact in the waste management, recycling, and sustainability sector. You’ll guide multiple sites, support your managers, drive performance, and help divert more waste from landfill while contributing to a greener Cornwall.
In return, we offer a competitive package: £46,102 basic salary + £7,610 car scheme (company car or allowance) + up to 10% bonus (~£4,610) + 5% employer pension contribution. Total first-year package up to £58,322.

What you'll be doing
Working Monday to Friday, you’ll lead and support operations across our Cornwall sites:
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to site teams and managers, ensuring smooth, high-performing daily operations.
- Monitor budgets, maximise revenue opportunities, and maintain high standards of customer service and profitability.
- Oversee maintenance of plant and machinery while championing safety, compliance, and best-practice standards.
- Develop motivated teams and foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and support the effective management of recycling and waste recovery activities.
What we're looking for
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds — your leadership style and operational experience matter most:
- Proven track record as a Senior Site Manager or similar leadership role in waste treatment, production, or a similar operational environment.
- Experience leading and inspiring teams across multiple sites.
- COTC qualification in Treatment (highly desirable) and IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to undertake training).
- NEBOSH General Certificate is advantageous but not essential — training will be provided where needed.
- Strong commercial awareness, good IT skills (Microsoft Word & Excel), and a friendly, approachable leadership style.
This role has developed following a recent restructure in Cornwall and is focused on delivering consistent, high-performing operations across our network of sites.
We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups in waste management and sustainability. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the application or interview process, please let us know — we’re committed to being an inclusive employer.
