About the Role
Location: Swale Municipal, Gas Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 2QB
- Salary: £26,652.83 per annum (£12.77 per hour)
- Hours: 40 per week
- Shift pattern: Monday – Friday
- Weekend overtime: Available
- Contract: Full‑time, permanent

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Street Cleansing Operative, you’ll help keep the streets of Milton Keynes clean, safe and welcoming. You’ll use a range of tools and techniques to maintain high standards of cleanliness across the area.
Your responsibilities include:
- Carrying out street cleansing tasks such as litter picking, hoeing weeds, shovelling detritus, removing sharps, emptying litter bins, clearing fly‑tipping and removing dead animals
- Using handheld devices (Core Light) to record tasks and support efficient working
- Working independently as a barrow sweeper or as part of a van crew, depending on the day’s requirements
- Delivering a consistently high standard of service while following all Health and Safety procedures
- Supporting a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues and the public
Full training is provided, and PPE is supplied.What We’re Looking For
