Location: Thorverton Road - Exeter
- £12.81 per hour
- Working 45 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:00

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play an important role in helping customers recycle responsibly while supporting the safe and efficient running of the site.
You’ll be using your knowledge of IT equipment, specifically items with circuit boards, to ensure maximum value is gained from resources.
Sharing your knowledge around IT equipment with the team, ensuring what is suitable for reuse and resale is identified, and what is end-of-life is correctly recycled.
Your responsibilities include :
- Using your knowledge an expertise to manage the flow of IT equipment through our processes
- Ensure items are correctly categorised and identified
- Maintaining accurate records for the removal and movement of materials
- Booking container exchanges to ensure the site always has space to segregate and store materials correctly
- Keeping your designated areas clean, tidy and safe
- Ensuring SUEZ meets its legal duties regarding health, safety and welfare
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to comply with the site permit, legislation and company policies
What We’re Looking For
This role offers the opportunity to gain industry recognised qualifications, including IOSH Health & Safety and COTC Level 4 (waste specific).
We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player who is committed to delivering high standards and supporting the wider site team.
Further, for this role we are looking for someone with comprehensive knowledge of IT equipment, specifically items with circuit boards such as PCs, laptops, servers and comms equipment.
You’ll need:
- Knowledge of IT equipment gained from working at exchange shops or through personal hobbies
- A passion for IT equipment and a desire to see the valuable materials within IT equipment be put to use
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A flexible approach to work, including the ability to cover holidays and sickness when required
- Ideally, some experience using mobile plant equipment (full training provided)
