Assistant Maintenance Manager

Salary: £51,444.12 per annum
Benefits: up to 10% annual bonus, 3x life assurance policy, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, healthcare, 5% employer contribution pension
Location: Energy From Waste Plant, Haverton Hill Road, BILLINGHAM, TS23 1PY
Hours: Mon-Friday 8-4

What will I be doing?
Keeping our Alternative Energy facilities running smoothly is a big job. That’s why we need a capable Assistant Maintenance Manager to help STV 1-3 in good working condition and ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations.
- Ensure that all relevant site service contracts are current and comply with SUEZ recycling and recovery policies and procedures.
- Day-to-day management of maintenance activities.
- Develop and support plans for plant outage.
- Provide support, training and guidance to the on-site maintenance planners.
What are the requirements?
This is a varied role for someone with experience in planning large maintenance programmes and a background in either mechanical or electrical engineering, within similar process engineering sector:
- Time served in either Mechanical, E&I or Process Operation disciplines.
- Experience of statutory compliance and contractor management is desirable.
- Experience managing a maintenance team.
- Experience of working within maintenance operations.
- Experience of work planning within critical time and budgetary constraints.
- A Health and Safety qualification is desirable. If you do not have a H&S qualification we can put you through this.
