About the Role
- £58,198 as a basic salary + Car / Car Allowance + up to 10% Bonus + Benefits
- Can be based at either Bridgwater, Evercreech, Williton or Yeovil

What will I be doing?
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of high‑performing municipal services, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and outstanding customer satisfaction. This role is central to driving sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement across the contract.
- As an Operations Manager, you will take strategic and operational ownership of the contract, ensuring full compliance with environmental legislation, health & safety standards, and fleet requirements.
- You’ll oversee service delivery, use data to monitor performance, and build strong relationships with local authority partners and stakeholders.
- You will lead and develop a high‑performing team, driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role includes full responsibility for contract profit & loss, budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and identifying opportunities for commercial growth and efficiency.
- You’ll also play a key role in workforce planning, employee relations, and engagement, fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment while maintaining positive relationships with recognised Trade Unions.
What are the Requirements?
- We’re looking for someone with strong leadership capability, commercial awareness, and Significant experience managing large, complex municipal or environmental service contracts (typically 5+ years).
- A commitment to sustainability, innovation, and customer focus is essential.
- Desirable qualifications include: a degree or equivalent experience, NEBOSH/IOSH, and CPC (or willingness to work towards).
- A full UK driving licence is required.
