Are you an experienced or newly qualified HGV Class 2 Driver Loader ready for a hands-on role that keeps you active, valued, and rewarded? Join SUEZ and play a key role in delivering essential waste and recycling services across South Gloucestershire. This role requires you to regularly get out of the vehicle and support with loading up to 150 times or more each day, making a real impact in your local community every day.
About the role
- You’ll be based at our Cowhorn Depot, Tower Road South, Cowhorn Hill, Barrs Court, Cowhorn, BS30 8BT
- Working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 07:00am to 15:30pm, with plenty of overtime available
- Salary of £34,417 per year (£16.49 per hour) plus a £2,000 retention bonus
- You’ll be required to work Easter Bank Holidays. For all other bank holidays, you’ll work the following Saturday instead
Overtime rates:
- 1.5x pay Monday – Saturday
- 2x pay on Bank Holidays, plus a day in lieu
- About the role

What will I be doing?
- You will be responsible for both driving the vehicle and supporting with the loading of household waste and recycling, working as part of a team to complete daily collections efficiently.
- Delivering a reliable, professional service to residents every day
- Working safely and following all health & safety procedures
You’ll primarily operate Romaquip vehicles, with RCVs (Refuse Collection Vehicles) as required keeping the job varied and interesting.
What are the requirements?
- Class 2 (Category C) licence, valid CPC card and Tachograph card
- A safety-first, reliable approach with good communication skills
- A team player who takes pride in their work
- Waste industry or RCV experience is beneficial, but full training will be provided
