Production Maintenance Planner

Join us as a Production Maintenance Planner, where you'll play a key role in keeping our site running smoothly through effective coordination, administration, and planning of maintenance activities. This is a highly organised, administration-focused role responsible for scheduling contractors, managing maintenance records and documentation, supporting procurement and stock control, and ensuring maintenance work is planned, tracked, and communicated efficiently across the site.

Salary: £32,937 - £35,700 

Benefits: 3x life assurance policy, up to 10% annual bonus, 5% employer pension, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

About the role

What will I be doing?

The Production Maintenance Planner has responsibility to contribute to the provision of an effective and efficient maintenance function through the planning and scheduling of maintenance, production and engineering tasks.  The role also has direct responsibility for procurement and stock control procedures at a given facility.

  • We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Planner with strong administration skills to support the smooth running of our maintenance activities. Although the job title is technical, the day‑to‑day work is primarily administrative and coordination‑based.
  • You’ll be responsible for organising contractor visits, keeping maintenance records accurate, managing documentation, and ensuring clear communication across the site. 
  • Coordinating and booking contractors for planned and reactive maintenance work.
  • Keeping maintenance files, records, and CMMS data accurate, organised, and up to date.
  • Supporting procurement tasks such as raising orders and monitoring stock levels.
  • Preparing straightforward reports, including maintenance and procurement KPIs.
  • Assisting with shutdown planning by organising schedules, documentation, and progress tracking.
  • Communicating with internal teams to ensure maintenance activities align with operational needs.
  • Helping ensure maintenance tasks are scheduled and tracked effectively.

What are the requirements?

  • Strong PC skills
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and coordination skills are essential.
  • Confidence using digital systems, databases, and filing structures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • A health and safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH) is desirable.
  • Engineering or maintenance qualifications are beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided. You do not need an engineering background to succeed in this role.
