Insurance & Risk Assistant Manager
SUEZ are looking for an experienced Insurance & Risk Assistant Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in insurance, risk management or corporate broking who wants to make a real impact in a purpose-driven organisation.

Salary: £49,616 - £58,199
Location: Maidenhead Office 3 x per week, 2 days WFH
Benefits: up to 10% annual bonus, 3 x life assurance policy, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, 5% employer pension, BUPA, and additional benefits.

What will I be doing?
As Insurance & Risk Assistant Manager, you will support the delivery of SUEZ's UK insurance and risk management programme, working closely with internal stakeholders, insurers, brokers and the wider SUEZ Group.
You will:
- Lead and develop the insurance team, supporting performance, wellbeing, learning and development.
- Manage insurance renewals, policy coverage, insurance budgets and relationships with brokers, insurers and SUEZ Group stakeholders.
- Oversee risk assessment activities, helping to identify, evaluate and mitigate business risks across the organisation.
- Manage complex insurance claims from notification through to settlement, ensuring effective outcomes and timely resolution.
- Produce claims and risk analysis, supporting continuous improvement and loss reduction initiatives.
What are the requirements?
- A degree in a relevant business, finance or insurance-related subject, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience in insurance, risk management or corporate broking, including complex claims management and insurer negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of areas such as Motor Fleet, Employers' Liability, Public & Products Liability, Property Damage & Business Interruption, Environmental Liability, and Engineering Insurance.
- Experience of self-insured retentions, captive arrangements and risk governance within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience gained in sectors such as waste management, recycling, environmental services, logistics, utilities, manufacturing or construction.
