As a Customer Services Assistant at Derwentside Environmental Testing Services (DETS), based in Lenham Heath Kent, who offer a wide range of high quality accredited analytical services for the environmental, construction, waste, fuel and engineering industries, you’ll be helping customers reduce their impact on the environment . 

Purpose of role:  

The efficient management and resolution of customer queries and the provision of a high quality service that is fundamental to the business philosophy of the Company. The Customer Services Assistant will be responsible for managing all of the day to day administration of their designated client group. The Customer Services Assistant will build relationships with their customers and understand the dynamics of their businesses and the structure of each respective client.

What will I be doing as?

Manage inquiries for the designated client group and management of designated client group

Escalate if queries are outside the technical abilities of the Customer Services Assistant, passing on the query to the appropriate member of staff and informing the client of progress.

Manage customer complaints for the designated client group, ensure that all customer complaints are logged and the appropriate paperwork is passed onto the Associate Director Client Services for investigation.

Maintain courier system

Manage contract reviews to ensure the correct analysis is completed and sample information is correct.

Liaise with the respective department heads to ensure completion of work.

Ensure invoices are approved for sending to clients.

Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
 
What are the requirements? ( experience and qualifications)

Experience of working in Customer Services is required for this role but we would also need you to have an excellent telephone manner, have good organisational skills, along with excellent working knowledge of Excel. A degree or equivalent in a science discipline and an understanding of SAP would be an advantage.
