The role

The position will be Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. The salary will be in the region of £27,000 per year with a company van.

What will I be doing as a Site Supervisor?

As a Site Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Transfer Stations. This will include;

Maximise recycling and recovery within the facility

Minimise the amount of waste that is sent to landfill

Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.

Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.

Providing excellent levels of customer service.

Implementation of the SUEZ business system.

Organising employees and resources.

Assisting with budget control and payroll.

Deal with external contractors and ensure they adhere is Health & Safety policies.

What are the requirements? (experience & qualifications)

Applicants must be able to demonstrate effective creative problem solving skills and be able to communicate solutions effectively.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for recycling coupled with good communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team. The successful candidate must have proven skills in developing staff to create a flexible and skilled team who can meet the changing operational and commercial requirements of the business.

The successful candidate must aspire to be a qualified first aider and preferably have a qualification in COTC/WAMITAB. If not, he /she must have the ability to achieve the award within 12 months. Experience of working in the waste industry with a broad knowledge of plant equipment is essential.

Experience of working within a supervisory position is essential.

Knowledge of and experience with IT systems is essential.

Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable but not essential.
