Summary of vacancy

Are you a trained and qualified Maintenance Engineer, with experience working in the recycling / waste or other process engineering industry? Would you enjoy ownership of planning all maintenance activity, of multiple process and production facilities, driving improved performance?

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join us in the resource revolution.

With innovation and new technology, we can create a greener future. But we can’t do it alone – which is why we need your help. Be part of a team that’s building new solutions for our planet.

About the role

What will I be doing?

You will have responsibility for managing ‘maintenance resource allocation’ by ensuring that the planning and scheduling of all planned / preventative maintenance activities, and corresponding corrective actions, are effectively and efficiently carried out in line with plant asset criticality and priority.

This will involve implementation of the CMMS (Mainsaver), so that all information and data in relation to maintenance activities is accurately stored and archived, to drive continuous improvements and cost savings. Additional specific activity will include:

  • Planning, scheduling and monitoring operational planned activities are in line with maintenance plans, in conjunction with operations managers.
  • Conducting shutdown planning activities, coordinating with maintenance managers.
  • The compilation of maintenance reports in relation to procurement and maintenance KPI's.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance work practices and procedures.
  • Ensuring legislative and health and safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Monitoring, reporting and auditing of contractor activities and performance.

What are the requirements?

With recognised qualifications and a relevant background of maintenance engineering in process / production environments, including supervisory / management responsibilities, you will need experience of using a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) or possibly another planning tool such as MS Project.

You’ll have support from the technical and regional maintenance team but this is an opportunity to own and improve the planning of all maintenance activity for some of our key sites and plants. SUEZ will invest in you with training and development, but core requirements are:

  • Engineering apprentice trained, qualified to a minimum of ONC level.
  • An appreciation of Inventory and stock control systems.
  • A suitable health and safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH).
  • Experience working in a regulated business environment.
