Are you a qualified Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with a background of engineering maintenance in a process plant environment? Would you like to apply this knowledge at a facility designed as an environmentally-friendly alternative, turning waste in to energy?

As part of the SUEZ team, your career can keep on moving. Our training and development means your learning is ongoing and can take you far within our global organisation.

About the role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be an important part of our team, making sure our plant is fully operational at all times. Day-to-day you’ll plan and carry out a range of E&I maintenance activities, summarised below, making sure safety, health and environmental standards are observed at all times:

  • You will plan and reactive maintenance for all electrical and instrumentation areas of our plant.
  • You will ensure plant installations and modifications meet the latest wiring standards and regulatory requirements.
  • You will support colleagues across different operational functions, maintenance disciplines and supervise contractors.
  • A cost-effective approach is important too, but best practice is crucial. Using your knowledge, you’ll train the other members of the team to perform at their best and provide specialist advice whenever required.

What are the requirements?

  • This is a role for a confident professional who has worked in a process industry before and is qualified to HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical and Instrumentation or related engineering. A Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be great, but can be gained, although we’re really interested in your ability to advise and lead others, explain technical matters clearly and work as part of a team.

Specific experience should include:

  • Industrial electrical systems and process measurement and control.
  • Maintenance engineering  experience in a process, steam raising or heavy engineering environment.
  • The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience in DCS/SCADA systems, PLC Programming and Networks, C&G2394/5.
  • Familiarity with BS 7671: 2008 17th / 18th edition wiring regulations.
