About the fole

  • This position is a full time permanent role.
  • The working hours are 40 per week, week 1 - Monday to Friday, week 2 – Monday to Thursday & Saturday. Working hours cover both an early and a back shift pattern.

What will I be doing?

  • To ensure that all planned preventative maintenance is carried out in accordance with the manufacturers documentation and local procedures. 
  • To keep and maintain maintenance records for PPM’s that are completed.
  • To provide a daily plant cleaning service to ensure down time is minimised due to the build-up of materials around bearings, rollers and conveyors.
  • To provide a daily plant cleaning service in order to maintain the highest housekeeping standards throughout the plant.
  • To assist maintenance technicians to ensure the preventative maintenance regimes are carried out.
  • To assist maintenance technicians with any reactive maintenance as required.
  • Have a proactive approach and propose solutions on potential issues around the site and work with other personnel to find solutions.
  • To have a proactive approach and forward looking mentality in identifying problems that may occur and propose solutions to rectify these issues before they endanger the running of the process.
  • To assist and advise the production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime.
  • To contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
  • To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost effective operation.
  • To ensure that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

What are the requirements?

  • Ideally you will have a qualification or relevant experience working in a maintenance type environment, be mechanically minded with an ability to solve problems and issues as they arise. 
  • You must be self-motivated, capable of generating your own workload from a plant walk around/inspection, and be able to work as part of a team.
  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to work overtime as required.
  • CITB / NPORS / IPAF or equivalent qualification in forklift/Tele-handler/Elevated Platform would be advantageous, but not essential as full training can be given.
