Are you a recent graduate, with a chemistry, chemical engineering or similar scientific degree?  Are you looking to work for a business with a global presence, in an opportunity that will enable you to start and develop your career in the water treatment industry?

We are looking for a diverse range of talented graduates to join our 18 month European graduate program, to deliver on real and meaningful business priorities.

Ideally you will already have some work experience through an industrial placement or summer placement to underpin your exceptional academic record.

About the role

About the role

As an integral part of our chemical business you will work in customer facing environments to develop a detailed understanding of our products, services, projects, customers and culture.  You will become the key point of contact at customer sites, undertaking chemical testing, making recommendations, identifying improvement opportunities and delivering on added value projects for customers.

Working with one or more account managers, you will be responsible for achieving defined goals and objectives as well as working safely, compliantly and efficiently within a defined group of customer accounts.

You will take guidance from account managers and will service, recommend changes, report and communicate treatment performance with customer representatives in accordance with the commercial agreement.

What will I be doing?

Environment Health & Safety (EHS) & Compliance

You will deliver all aspects of the agreed contract including sampling, testing, reporting and consulting directly with the customer. You will ensure they work in a safe manner at all times when delivering company objectives and comply with internal, legislative and customer EHS requirements and policies.

  • You will apply the company Legionella policy for customers who have qualifying water systems.
  • At all times you will comply with the Ethics Charter policies when maintaining and developing relationships with customers.


You will understand the commercial agreement at each assigned customer site and ensure the Account Manager is made aware of any customer requested scope change or over consumption to maintain profitability. You will work with the account managers to ensure that the profitability and productivity plans as defined by the sales director are met.

  • You will ensure the Account Manager is made aware of any customer contact changes.
  • You will identify opportunities for upgrades to the account manager, whether chemfeed equipment, training, analytical services or increased scope of supply.


You will ensure a service plan is defined by the Account Manager and then optimise the service activities at the assigned customers, to maximise productivity and profitability as well working with the Account Manager to provide adequate cover for holidays. The service plan should contain but not be limited to scope of supply of services, time and products as well as treatment limits, performance expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • You will ensure execution of customer service plans.
  • You will communicate with the defined customer contact or deputy during each service visit.
  • You will ensure customer records are maintained at all times especially any Legionella related records.

What are the requirements?

  • Preferred chemistry degree or equivalent scientific qualification.
  • Full driving licence required.
  • Ability to effectively support multiple managers and teams.
  • Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal oriented self-starter.
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
