Are you an experienced Weighbridge Operator or Administrator?

As a Weighbridge Operator at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

About the role

  • This role is offered on a full time six month fixed term contract.
  • Shifts will be Monday to Friday  8:00 am to 16:30 pm, but may require additional hours upon request.

What will I be doing?

  • You will carry out the instructions as issued by the site management.
  • To work well within a team with effective handovers with other weighbridge operatives.
  • You will identify and resolve weighbridge queries.
  • You will operate and maintain the weighbridge in compliance with safe system of work.
  • You will maintain accurate recording of data on various systems and software.
  • You will maintain a tidy workplace
  • You will ensure that within your areas of responsibility, we comply fully with our legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
  • You will co-operate with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with site permit, all applicable legislation and our policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

  • An excellent communicator with a good telephone manner.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the weighbridge, site licence / permit and associated systems.
  • Weighbridge experience would be desirable and candidates must be computer literate with the ability to input correct data and run reports from various spreadsheet and other computer systems and software.
  • This is an ideal opportunity to work within a small team.
  • The post requires a variety of tasks to be completed and a flexible approach to work is required. You will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance and all weighbridge operations
  • A proven back ground with good computer skills for the inputting and recording of data on associated weighbridge and reporting systems is essential.
