We are looking for a Communications Administrator to join our 20-strong communications team. The role is based at our newly refurbished Maidenhead head office in Berkshire, where you will be part of a close knit, supportive department where the culture is both dynamic and friendly.

As well as learning about business administration you will have the chance to experience the fast paced and exciting discipline of marketing and communications.

Following the ‘Blue Planet’ effect, it is also a very exciting time to be in the recycling and resource management industry.

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Reporting to one of the team’s assistant managers your role will include the following responsibilities:
  • Managing invoicing and financial processing and administration for the department
  • Making arrangements for and writing minutes for department meetings
  • PA duties for the Director of Communications including arranging travel arrangements, diary management and document preparation
  • Managing the team’s customer jobs log overseeing all ongoing work being undertaken for different departments across the business and the associated deadlines
  • To be the internal contact for website email queries and disseminate as appropriate, ensuring that necessary follow up is completed.
  • To be the first contact for incoming general phone queries
  • Assisting the marketing and internal communications teams in the administration for events and in front of house/registration and set up of events
  • Collating and distributing the company’s press cuttings electronically to the agreed internal distribution list
  • Learning about communications and marketing, input into wider projects and be part of a supportive and dynamic team.

What are the requirements?

  • Understanding of financial systems, invoicing and basic budgeting.
  • Event administration and front of house experience.
  • Experience in minute taking and meeting organisation.
  • Great organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • IT literate, ability to use Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Educated to GCSE level.
  • Background in administration and PA duties preferable.
