About the role

About the role

  • The vacancies are initially for 3 month fixed term contracts although this may lead on to permanent roles if vacancies arise and subject to performance.
  • The working week will generally be Monday to Friday, but some occasional weekend work may be required as necessary.      
  • Rate of pay will be £8.36 per hour.   

What will I be doing?

  • Our site at Blick Road operates large goods vehicles - primarily 12 tonne Recycling Stillage vehicles and Refuse Collection Vehicles.
  • The role will involve the loading of vehicles collecting municipal recycling and waste from households in Warwick, delivering a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety rules and contractual requirements at all times.

What qualifications do I need?

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate reliability, good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Experience of working in the waste industry and knowledge of the Warwick area is desirable. 
  • Experience of working with waste vehicles is desirable but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
