As a Site Operative at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

This is a permanent position as a Site Operative, working 47.5hrs per week, on a rota shift basis, Monday - Friday with some Saturdays (see below):

Rota 1: Monday 07.15 – 17.15 Monday - Friday

Rota 2: Monday 08.45 – 17.30 Monday – Friday , Saturday 07.15 -13.30

Rota 3: Monday 07.30 – 17.30 Monday – Friday

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Operation of wheeled loading shovel and site sweeper and if appropriately trained, any other fixed or mobile plant in use
  • Completion of all relevant paperwork and returned to the site supervisor
  • Cover of site weighbridge (if appropriately trained and certified).
  • Maintaining a tidy site, litter picking, working outside
  • Aid with cleaning duties across the whole site including the mobile and fixed plant
  • Maximise recycling and recovery within the facility minimising the amount of waste sent to landfill.
  • Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
  • Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required, providing excellent levels of customer service.

Some mobile plant qualifications would be advantageous, but are not essential.
