This is a permanent position, working 45 hours per week Monday – Friday, with occasional weekend / Bank Holiday cover. The pay rate for this role is £12.03 per hour, plus single manning allowance.

About the role

What will I be doing as a Cat C Driver?

  • You will be based at our site in Avonmouth, where we operate Cat C LGV vehicles including RCV (Euro) Trade Waste vehicles. You will also occasionally be required to work at other locations within the region, for which a travelling allowance is payable.
  • The role will involve the driving and operation of RCV vehicles collecting commercial waste from our customers, Monday – Friday and alternate Saturday Mornings delivering a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times. Saturday and Sunday PM working may also be required on a rota paid at higher overtime rates.

What are the requirements? (experience and qualifications)

  • You must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.
  • An LGV Cat C licence as well as a CPC card valid for at least three years are essential.
  • Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable though not essential.
  • Experience of working with RCV’s or Trade Waste is desirable but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
