The Role

You'll be based from our Offices in Peterborough with some travel across Europe. The position of Engineering Regional Manager for the Northern European engineering production centre will report directly to the Europe Engineering Leader.

About the role

What will you be doing as a Engineering Regional Manager?

You will manage the workload of the teams from your production centre and ensure the availability of skills required for the projects in which your production centre is responsible.

You will do this by:

  • Establishing, together with the Europe Engineering Leader, the annual budget for his/her production centre. Controls expenses and makes necessary adjustments.
  • Fixing together with the Europe Engineering Leader, the annual objectives based on the assigned operational KPIs.
  • Participating in responses to tenders, together with the teams of the other engineering production centres.
  • Participating in the development of the engineering execution strategy associated with the costing.
  • Guaranteeing the continuity of the engineering strategy developed during the proposal phase and ensure compliance with procedures during the project implementation.
  • Coordinating his/her activity with the other Engineering production centres in Europe and other Departments (Proposals and Sourcing).

What will you need and what will you gain?

  • 15 + years of experience in operational positions (engineering - construction).
  • Strong experience and command of the various stages of a EP or EPC project.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Availability to travel and work abroad.
  • Strong leadership and ability to understand complex organizations (e.g. matrix organisations).
  • Ability to abstract while having a strong sense of pragmatism.
  • Ability to execute and implement transverse medium and long-term projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience to manage outsourced Engineering Service Providers
