About the role

What will I be doing? 

In this role you will be responsible for commissioning activities associated with municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment equipment applications, coordinating projects and generating supporting documentation and procedures, including schedules and commissioning strategies. 

This will involve: 

  • Working on equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, mixers, pressure vessels, membranes equipment, instrumentation, valves and piping systems.
  • Analysing contract data in order to achieve required performances and specifications.
  • Managing and coordinating fabrication and installation activities, on site and in workshops, ensuring products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Coordinating operation, maintenance, and repair activities to obtain optimum utilisation of machines and equipment.
  • Evaluates field installations, carry out site surveys to make recommendations on design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Support local Services on troubleshooting, repairs and warranty issues resolution. 

This will be achieved through direct communication with project managers, customers on site and supporting sales teams, whilst also managing contractors and delivering any technical training, when needed. 

What are the requirements? 

Your background will include working with water and wastewater treatment equipment and processes, for both pre and post treatment, gained working in commissioning, field service or project engineering roles. You’ll require advanced water treatment process knowledge, including membrane bioreactor ultrafiltration, along with excellent organisational, communication and proactive technical problem-solving skills. 

  • Minimum HND (or equivalent) in relevant technical discipline (ideally electrical)                                
  • Technical knowledge of conventional WWT processes (Bio Reactors), MF/UF, RO, EDR, EDI, IX, MBR, ADT, ZLD, NaOH concentrator
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret common scientific and technical documents/drawings like P&IDs, Ladder logic, electrical schematics and isometric drawings.
  • Experience and confident working in construction and industrial environments. 

You will need the flexibility to travel, as this position demands frequent trips with medium/long periods out of the office and around Europe (Western and Eastern), so fluency in English and French is essential, both spoken and written, with any other languages a real plus too.
