As Assistant Marketing Manager you will be responsible for driving regional lead generation initiatives and customer communication campaigns, supporting our private and public sector business development teams and contributing to an ever growing, established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

 

About the role

What will I be doing as an Assistant Marketing Manager?

  • Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager and working alongside a 20-strong communications team, the Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for devising and delivering regional B2B marketing campaigns, both online and offline, producing a range of targeted marketing and customer communications materials, running customer-facing events and promoting the company’s work through various digital and traditional channels including content management systems, blog and social media channels.
  • Utilising paid digital channels including, but not limited to social media, display and PPC advertising, as well as bespoke customer communication tools, the Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for crafting, executing and monitoring effective marketing campaigns, including end-to- end creative and marketing agency briefing.
  • Key day-to-day responsibilities for the role include supporting the company’s regional industrial and commercial, public sector and corporate business development teams and developing effective and timely marketing campaigns for the company’s range of services.

What are the requirements?

  • The successful applicant must either have a marketing qualification and at least three years’ experience in a marketing role.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills with the ability to repurpose content into different channels and formats.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to work to strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of managing email marketing campaigns including scheduling, testing and sending of email is essential, and user experience of the email automation tool MailChimp is desirable.
  • Expert in using Excel with strong numerical skills and ability to analyse data is essential.
  • Experience of using CMS and digital platforms i.e. WordPress and social media management tools i.e. Hootsuite is desirable.
  • Experienced user of CRM systems i.e. Salesforce is also desirable.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude, strong problem-solving skills, as well as self-motivation are essential.
  • Good stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to adapt styles and approach accordingly.
  • Previous experience in waste and resources or similar sectors is desirable, as well as experience in B2B marketing of services.
