About the role

What will I be doing as a Transfer Station Plant Operator?

  • To support the site Chargehand in delivering efficient service in compliance with contractuak, site license, and current legislative requirements by directing operations at the Transfer Loading.
  • Carry out all duties as detailed in the TLS opertaive job profile
  • To maintain compliance with all safety, and environmental regulations, instructions and in line with all risk nassessments, safe working procesdures and standard operating procedures.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

What are the requirements?

  • Possess a current certificate to operate a wheeled loading shovel
  • Ideally you will have experience with environmental permits, working plans, emergency procedures, company health and safety policies and duty of care regulations
  • COSHH trained
  • TLS operations and knowledge of materials, both hazardous and non-hazardous
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Basic literacy, numeracy and clerical skills
  • Well versed with driving, operating and servicing heavy plant and machinery
  • Problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of the waste management industry
