About the role

The role

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract that is based at out Prestwick site but will require travel throughout the region. So a clean driving licence is required.

The Operations Technician is responsible, on a day to day basis, for operating and maintaining the Treatment Processes associated with the Effluent Treatment Plant.  As well as daily operational routines, the Operations Technician will be expected to implement front line Planned Maintenance tasks as part of their role.

You will carry out the maintenance in a safe manner to ensure that there is a minimum risk of harm to people or the environment as a result of plant operations. You will be tasked to operate the water/Effluent treatment plants and associated equipment to ensure that water quality and quantity produced is within the specifications required by the customer.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of Wastewater treatment plants and be able to demonstrate through previous work experience, an ability to interpret technical information to affect changes on the plant.
