Working pattern for this role is Tuesday - Friday, between 07:00hrs and 17:00hrs with flexibility for staggered starts. This position is a fixed term contract, until the end of November, with the possibility of extension to cover holidays/sickness.

About the role

What will I be doing as a Class 2 Loader/Driver?

All of our drivers are employed as a Driver / Loader, so you will be getting out to assist with loading vehicles collecting household waste and recycling from customers, so it is a physically demanding role. You'll deliver a high standard of service and ensure compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules, as well as our own, at all times.

You'll also need to be able to operate and update a hand-held mobile device, similar to a smart phone, to read and enter all information about collection rounds.

What are the requirements?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate a professional and quality approach to driving, coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team, to deliver a high level of customer service:

  • An LGV Class 2 license as well as a CPC card are essential.
  • Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable though not essential.
  • Experience of working with Stillage Vehicles – Kerbside Loaders and RCV is desirable but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
