Aqua Enviro is part of SUEZ and a leading:

  • Environmental consultancy specialising in Wastewater treatment and Anaerobic Digestion

  • Training provider in the water, wastewater, bio-resources and organic waste sectors.
About the role

What will I be doing?

You will be based at Aqua Enviro’s Wakefield office, although you’ll spend time travelling to meet clients throughout the UK, with the potential to extend beyond the UK in the future. Overnight stays will be necessary to fulfil this role effectively.

We’ll look to you to develop new business through a consultative sales approach, for existing and new clients across all Aqua Enviro Business sectors, defining and enacting a strategy to increase sales by 50% over the next AMP cycle and building a >6 month sales pipeline. This will be achieved through:

  • Adapting Aqua Enviro services to meet client needs
  • Managing the Technical Sales Manager and other future sales staff
  • Driving wider participation in the Business Development process with colleagues (through provision of training and mentoring)
  • Providing commercial leadership for tenders and higher value proposals produced by colleagues
  • Producing tenders, proposals and supporting customer discovery documentation
  • Liaising with the Operations team to ensure efficient delivery of agreed sales and ensure client delivery
  • Recording and report sales data through Salesforce CRM and other agreed formats to the SASUK Commercial Director and sales team

You’ll be expected to feed market intelligence back to the SASUK Commercial Director, Aqua Enviro managers and Marketing Team, working to identify / manage synergies and opportunities between Aqua Enviro, SES Group and SUEZ Globally, developing bespoke projects and scopes to the benefit of the wider group.

What are the requirements?

Essential to success in this role is a proven and demonstrable sales background in the water or wastewater sectors, backed up with an environmental, scientific or engineering degree (or equivalent, with detailed knowledge of the UK water industry, along with:

  • Consultancy or technical background in Water / Wastewater or another environmental discipline
  • Ability to balance a varied workload and prioritise key activities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning, presentation and negotiation skills
