As an Operations Manager at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

What will I be doing?

We are looking for two Operations Managers to join our Senior Management team in Cornwall.

Excellence - Reporting to the Processing Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Cornwall PFI Contract

Leadership - Managing a multi-site multi-service waste processing operation with a large dedicated workforce

Enthusiasm - You’ll help continue to establish and nurture the cultural values of your specific teams along with, and in line with, the wider company values. Safety, health, environment and quality in mind

Collaboration - Responsible for establishing and delivering excellent communication across all internal operational services and external business stakeholders

Finance - Maximise profits and deliver financial results within a challenging budget by constantly reviewing current standards and practices and implement changes to improve the standard of delivery

Communication - You’ll support, develop, manage and lead your team through change and continual business improvement

Creativity - Lead on innovation, strategy, business transformation and implementation of LEAN manufacturing principles

Customer first - Providing excellent service to our customer

What are the requirements?

You must be highly motivated and have proven experience of managing a multi-site operation - ideally with waste industry knowledge.

A good financial understanding of P&L accounts will be needed to be able to identify cost savings balanced against service standards for all sites and services provided.

Working as part of a small management team, the ability to lead and develop a diverse team of managers, supervisors and site staff with different skills and experience will also be required.

Desirable qualification and skills - COTC level 4 (transfer, treatment), NEBOSH, good IT skills, project management, LEAN principles
