About the role

What will I be doing?

As a part of an operational shift team, you’ll be working directly with critical elements of the plant and alongside maintenance and other technical engineering colleagues / teams, making sure everything runs safely and efficiently and in a way that complies with environmental legislation.

This will involve:

  • continuously monitoring, controlling, assessing and adjusting plant processes
  • responsibility for the water tube boilers, sampling and analysing the water
  • isolating plant systems if there are issues or for maintenance.

We'll expect you to apply your expertise to any problems that arise, always working to ensure the plant operates as efficiently and safely as possible.

What are the requirements?

With a background in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering, you’ll be familiar with aspects of an Energy Recovery site or similar process plant / facility and know how to use plant ancillary equipment.

You’ll also be familiar with:

  • boilers, process control and measurement equipment
  • experience and certifications required include BOAS Cert IBO, IOSH (Working Safely)
  • good IT skills.
  • knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
  • a strong team player with a willingness and commitment to learn.
