What will I be doing?

  • A key part of the role is to build relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Customers: maintaining contact between projects, especially those customers that only place occasional orders. 
  • Ensure that SUEZ WPS does not miss opportunities because the company has fallen off the customer’s radar 
  • Identify new projects at an early stage – well before prices/budget quotes are requested – to enable SUEZ WPS to help the customer shape the optimum technical specification
  • Follow up on completed projects, to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and/or identify areas where SUEZ WPS may have fallen short 
  • Research laboratory, healthcare and industrial project activity to identify potential opportunities
  • Issue initial sales enquiries and/or opportunities to relevant BDM/Sales Director
  • Telemarketing to promote our product ranges and maintain contact with prospects and customers
  • Researching new opportunities, based on existing customer profiles, using online research/LinkedIn  
  • Regular liaison with the engineering/technical team, to ensure that customer/prospect communications are aligned 
  • ·Chase customers for any outstanding information required for projects to move to the quotation stage 
  • Liaison with 4CM to improve ongoing targeting/customer knowledge 
  • Maintain and update customer records
  • Use of LinkedIn to support the sales process
  • Preparation of regular reports/activity summaries 

What are the requirements?

  • This role is ideal for a confident and organised communicator, who is keen to learn, and has ambitions to progress to a field sales
  • Ideally, experience in a similar role in an industrial/engineering business 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Organised and planning orientated
  • Confidence in contact customers/prospects by phone 
  • Excellent written skills (especially email) 
  • Good attention to detail 
  • Ability to work with a variety of software tools, including:
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams / Zoom, Customer database / CRM, order processing and LinkedIn 
  • Ability to work remotely 
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve
