About the role

The Role

  • This position is a Permanent Position
  • The working hours are Monday to Friday on fixed shift pattern.
  • The pay rate for this role is £9.73 per hour, 40 hours per week, with overtime available

What will I be doing as a Plant Operator?

  • Operating Fixed/Mobile plant predominantly in the Refuse Derived Fuel plant (which produces fuel from waste collected from households).
  • Maintaining the tipping space to ensure that vehicles can safely deposit material in the facility.
  • Loading of material to feed Production line.
  • Loading material onto vehicles for transportation to final destination.
  • To deliver outstanding front line customer service.
  • To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost effective operation.
  • Ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

What are the requirements?

The applicant must be self-motivated and have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover for holidays and sick days if required.

Experience with mobile/Fixed plant is essential.
