As an EfW Day Operations Manager at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • To ensure that each business unit has appropriate manpower, recruitment and training plans in place for Day Operations Support.  
  • To promote, through good working practice and positive employee relations, the status of SUEZ UK as ‘the preferred employer in the waste industry’.
  • Promote the active involvement and positive contribution of all employees.
  • To manage SUEZ employees within the framework of all legal and company procedure and within all relevant environmental and safety legislation.
  • Promote a safety conscious attitude towards business activities through good operational practice.
  • Monitor operational practice by auditing/reviewing risk assessments, work methods and operational procedures as well as carrying out toolbox/safety meetings on a regular basis.
  • Secure compliant site operation through good operational practice by ensuring that
  • To ensure that SUEZ Tees Valley upholds a professional impression with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that customers needs are met with the right approach in the right way by
  • Planning of resources and material requirements
  • Effective utilization of equipment and resource.

This role will require working Monday to Friday with occasional paid overtime needed on a Saturday morning dependant on plant needs.


  • Mobile Plant Operator Certificate
  • Desire to Maintain High Operating Standards
  • Experience managing a team using mobile plant
