What will I be doing?
- You’ll be working directly with critical elements of the plant, making sure everything runs safely and efficiently, in a way that complies with environmental legislation. It means continuously monitoring, controlling, assessing and adjusting plant processes, and applying your expertise to any problems that arise.
- You’ll have particular responsibility for the smooth operation of both our pretreatment areas and the anaerobic digestion plant.
- You’ll also be involved in the maintenance and optimising of these areas to improve all aspects of the systems as well as contributing the safe operation of the plant.
What are the requirements?
- With a background in mechanical, electrical or process engineering, you’ll be familiar with aspects of an energy recovery site or similar process plant / facility and know how to use plant ancillary equipment.
- You’ll also be familiar with pretreatment and sortation systems, pump systems, process control and measurement and have knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.
- SUEZ will invest in you from day one with a structured development program as, experience and certifications required for the role include WAMITAB and IOSH Working Safely qualification along with good IT skills.
- If you don’t have all of the above don’t worry, as the extensive training programme will increase and develop your skills and expertise, providing you with the additional skills you need.
The advertised salary includes the shift allowance that comes with this position.
