About the role

What will I be doing?

  • To develop and oversee all marketing promotions for the Laboratories Division (Latis Scientific, QTSE and DETS) and to support wider marketing activities for SES UK.
  • Develop, implement and manage strategic marketing activities for the laboratory division of the Company (Latis Scientific & Derwentside Environmental Testing Services) to raise the company’s market profile and increase sales;
  • Support the wider marketing activities of SUEZ Smart and Environmental Solutions
  • Develop and maintain product information sheets and other sales related documents;
  • Develop and maintain stock of promotional material for issue to company staff and customers;
  • Oversee the organisation of promotional activities, ensuring that they are carried out efficiently and within agreed budgets, to raise the profile of the company and increase sales;
  • Prepare and distribute press releases and internal newsletters;
  • Build contacts with key media personnel, both locally and nationally;
  • Launch and take to market new services / solutions
  • Update the company websites as required;
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR (webs) on customer communications
  • Implement and manage social media presence
  • Implement digital engagement
  • Develop and implement a SEO plan.
  • Implement and manage communications and responses w/ customers (as labs division on average 5 to 6 comms pieces needed a month)
  • Organise virtual client events
  • Monitor and analyse market trends;
  • Study and report on competitors’ products and services;
  • Identify target markets and develop strategies to communicate with them;
  • Producing reports to monitor results;
  • Present findings and suggestions to company directors or other senior managers;
  • Initiate market research studies and analyse their findings;

What are the requirements?

  • A degree-level qualification (or equivalent).
  • 2- 3 years’ marketing experience;
  • Proven track record of success in a marketing position;
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Thorough knowledge of company products;
  • The ability to demonstrate technical marketing skills and company product knowledge;
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and software;
  • Financial awareness and the ability to work within a budget;
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills;
  • Good business awareness;
  • The ability to work well in a team and with a wide range of people.
  • Have a logical and flexible approach to work, with the ability to plan and organise effectively;
  • Be able to respond well to pressure;
