About the role

What will I be doing?

The role will involve the driving and operation of vehicles collecting household waste and recycling from our customers, delivering a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times.

Based at Doncaster Waste Transfer Station, working Tuesday to Friday - 10 hours per day. This is a full-time, permanent role.

 

What are the requirements?

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.
  • As a driver/loader, you would be expected to assist with loading during the shift. 
  • There may be occasions where you would be deployed as a loader for a full shift and therefore you must be physically fit.
  • An LGV Class 2 license as well as a CPC card are essential.
  • Our collections are scheduled using in cab technology, experience of using similar technology (such as a smart phone) would be advantageous. 
  • Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable, however is not essential.
