About the role

Suez is a major player in the waste and recycling industry and is seeking experienced LGV Driver/Loaders to join our busy team in Knowsley, Merseyside.

Salary:  £23,149.72 based on 40 hours per week based on an 8 hour shift per day.

Working hours:  Monday to Friday, starting times will vary between 04:00hrs and 12:00hrs depending on the allocation of work and business requirments. 

Overtime (when available) is paid at time and half after completion of 8 hours per day.  Bank Holidays are paid are double time with a day off in lieu or treble time.

There is also the potential to earn a compliance and service delivery bonus.

What will I be doing?

The work will generally be on Refuse Collection Vehicles and RoRo’s and will involve the driving and operation of vehicles and collection of commercial and industrial waste and recycling from our customers, delivering a high standard of service, including the use of digital devices to record and report, whilst ensuring compliance with road transport and Health and Safety regulations.. Support duties include basic asset maintenance, deliveries and removals.

What are the requirements?

You must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team, delivering a high level of customer service.

The role also requires:

  • An LGV Class 2 license as well as a CPC card are essential.
  • Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable though not essential.
  • Experience of working with recycling vehicles, roll on roll off containers, is preferred but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
