The role

To provide on-the-ground support to Satellite Leakage Detection projects across the UK. The individual will also look to boost Suez’s leakage portfolio by implementing technical support to a range of technologies & solutions. The role is based near Bristol with National and European travel.

About the role

What will I be doing?

•             Support the on-site delivery of Satellite Leak Detection projects.

•             Provide technical assistance to developing technologies.

•             Ensure that technology works to its specification and meets client requirements.

•             Maintain best practice and demonstrate competence in Active Leakage Control.

•             Combine a range of tools and techniques to pinpoint leaks on the ground.

•             Coordinate between customer requests on site and/or issues with the technology.

•             When possible, trouble-shoot. When necessary, report to the Project Manager or technical support teams.

•             Deal with technical, quality and H&S parts of delivery.

•             Support the technical team in undertaking feasibility reviews and working up outline proposals for the works and design of services.

•             Seek improvements and offer advice on operational procedures.

•             Collate site data to produce reports.

•             Be available to work away from home and at night (when required for the project).

 

What are the requirements?

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 GCSE’s.
  • New Road and Street Works Act (supervisor level) would be desirable.
  • The Leakage Technician should have CSCS card.
  • The Leakage Technician should have a National Water Hygiene (EUSR) card.

Experience:

  • Experience of a similar role within the UK water industry.
  • Experience of leakage detection.
  • Experience of drinking water networks e.g. valve operations etc.
  • An understanding of GIS plans.

  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Able to work efficiently and independently.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages. Must hold valid driving licence and be willing to travel nationally, with occassional trips to Europe.
