About the role

About the role

**You will be home based, but with regular travel to customer locations across the East of the UK.**

Working with both the UK & Ireland Growth Team, local Account Management and Operational Teams, the Senior Account Manager will have two primary responsibilities

  • To work closely with a small number of existing strategic accounts, growing the business by developing new opportunities, managing them from solution generation to execution; and
  • To build and execute a pipeline of new opportunities of key ‘Bullseye’ solutions within the Food & Beverage and Middle-Market industry verticals.

The Senior Account Manager will sell the full portfolio of Chemical Monitoring Solutions (CMS) and support the sales of Engineered Solutions (ES) Products, Projects and Services. 

Reporting directly to the UK North Growth Leader - Food & Beverage and Middle-Markets, the candidate will work in an international and highly stimulating environment, with frequent contact with team members both in the region and overseas. You will work closely with a diverse functional team, including, Industry Verticals, Commercial Operations, Products & Standards, Technical centres of excellence, Operations, Asset Care, Mobile & Corporate. The job requires exceptional customer focus, high motivation, persistence and sales-oriented drive.

What will I be doing?

Commercial

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within your allocated strategic accounts and position SUEZ as a trusted advisor for their water challenges to enhance customer experience.
  • Understand the key sustainability challenges and financial drivers within your allocated strategic accounts and develop businesses case to inform how the SUEZ portfolio can assist them.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with internal and external key influencers.
  • Meet or exceed key metrics for assigned growth targets and/or other project activities.
  • Personally prospect, develop, lead & close opportunities in the defined accounts, geographical area & Markets, working with all the appropriate resources.
  • Be the ‘go to person’ in you defined accounts, geographical area & focus markets.
  • Ensure all commercial deals meet the Company profitability expectations.
  • Encourage strong engagement with other Account Managers and assigned geographical Area/Territory Managers and industry Vertical Leaders.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of business opportunities for the assigned regional/sector to ensure new driveway bookings on a 3-year outlook as well as a clear strategy for achieving sustainable success on these projects.
  • Providing a high-level of technical sales support to the Account Management team on a specific series of Industrial applications.
  • Accurately forecast to the UK and Ireland Country Leader, ideally with experience of Opportunity Management & reporting in Salesforce.
  • Support the company’s campaigns and gather market information.
  • Identify market trends and changes in the local legislation that trigger the use of the company’s solution portfolio.


Technical & Project Development

  • Develop opportunities by solving critical issues our Customers and target Industries are facing around water treatment matched with an understanding of the SUEZ solutions to solve these.
  • Promote digital monitoring and SUEZ Insight technology.
  • Act as an expert (technical and commercial) in the water solutions market
  • Proven knowledge of selling services solutions in an industrial environment (service agreements, O&M, technical assistance, etc).
  • Assisting Project Managers and delivery teams in the preparation of bidding/execution hand-over procedures.
  • Proven Account Management and/or Sales expertise in water treatment for the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Pulp & Paper, Micro-electronics and Manufacturing markets will be a plus.


EHS & Compliance

  • Work in a safe manner at all times when delivering company objectives and comply with internal, legislative and customer EHS requirements and policies.
  • Act at all times in compliance with applicable policies when maintaining and developing relationships with customers.
  • Provide a valid driving license or training certificate before using conditioned work tool or vehicle as well as inform employer in case of document expiry promptly.
  • Responsible for the provided individual safety equipment, its proper safekeeping, use and daily maintenance.
  • Responsible for keeping discipline, order and cleanliness in their workplace.
  • Attend the required medical examination/check-up.
  • Report any kind of injury, sickness, potential risk of disorder, breakdown to employer promptly and expected to cooperate in preventing hazardous situation threatening life, physical safety and environment.
  • Understand how to handle work-related chemicals and hazardous materials (MSDS) and apply safety rules accordingly.
  • Observe all safety rules even under occasional/temporary assignments and stop operation in case of direct fire, accident or environmental risk as well as prevent unauthorized access to equipment.
  • Voice concerns regarding the ability to meet customer expectations and comply with all parts of the Quality Management System.
  • Enable to the business to achieve suitable product quality.

What are the requirements?

  • Ability to work closely with multiple groups in a cross functional/cultural environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable selling and presenting to medium/high levels within the Customer operation.
  • Strong customer focus, brand and portfolio awareness and sales mentality.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or equivalent knowledge and experience; MBA or equivalent or further educational qualifications is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, other languages a plus.
  • Relevant experience in Water Treatment or related activities.
  • CRM proficiency (i.e. Salesforce).
  • Ability to work independently and in a home office.
  • Ability to negotiate successfully with Economic buyers and Procurement personnel.
  • Availability to travel within assigned Area and occasionally abroad.
  • Possession of a full driving license.
  • Must demonstrate emotional intelligence and maintain an open communication with all levels of business.
