**This role is based in the South of the UK but is home based with travel requirements**

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Selling Endotoxins systems & TOC analyzers as well as the associated products in the life sciences market which mainly includes: Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Medical Devices or Chemical industries.
  • The candidate must maintain and develop relationships with existing and new accounts, including large, complex, high visibility, strategic, and important global accounts in the industries targeted by SUEZ Analytical Instruments.
  • In this position the Area Sales Manager is responsible for attaining sales objectives, and collaborating with sales, application and service team based in UK and Europe
  • Location: South of UK

What will I be doing?

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales orders and achieve annual and quarterly achievement of sales target through accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting, by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, achieve account penetration and complete territory coverage
  • Prospecting for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customers portfolio and qualifying new leads to maintain business to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales.
  • Generating proposals, preparing and validating the tender response in collaboration of product managers and sales manager.
  • Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying’s influencers such as direct users, but also department heads, EPC and Buying departments.
  • Maintaining satisfactory after-sale relationships and development of long term customer relationship

Reporting to the UK & IE Sales Manager, tasks include:

  • Direct selling Sievers instruments Products in the UK assigned territory
  • Actively prospecting
  • Ability to demonstrate and present all Analytical Instrument Group products.
  • Organize sales appointments using the existing database or cold calling and prospecting
  • Keep customer database up to date
  • Understand and manage the sales funnel to meet short- and long-term sales objectives, including preparation of quotations and proposals.
  • Provide company with accurate and timely forecasts and metrics for the appropriate territories and product lines utilizing Pivotal
  • Built relationships with Engineering companies
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets in the assigned territories with the goal of growing the business year to year
  • Attend & Organize exhibitions/in house seminars/workshops/Pharma & Biotech Organizations
  • Understand and manage the sales funnel to meet short- and long-term sales objectives, including preparation of quotations and proposals.
  • Provide company with accurate and timely forecasts and metrics for the appropriate territories and product lines utilizing Pivotal
  • Built relationships with Engineering companies

  • Proven track record of sales in Life Sciences Market
  • Be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic with hands on approach
  • Ability to effectively work with multiple audiences and levels across organizations
  • Excellent presentation, Excellent phone skills/Excellent writing skills Strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Willingness to travel, as job requires (up to 50%)
  • Knowledge of Endotoxin and TOC analyzers will be an advantage
  • Fluent in English
