About the role

What will I be doing?
General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Company's Health & Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Strategies, Policies and Objectives are adhered to and report any deficiencies to your Line Manager.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly of products to required standards.
  • Testing products to required standards.
  • Following build instructions/diagrams and test procedures to ensure finished products are consistent and meet the required standards/criteria.
  • Recording accurate and legible information on works orders and QCL’s.
  • Raising inaccuracies with build and test procedures, and suggesting possible solutions where known.
  • Advising Procurement Officer of any shortages and Operations Manager of any issues that could cause delays.
  • Assisting with QA activities including cleaning of finished product, PAT testing and incoming inspection of required components.
  • Keeping the work area clean and tidy (in line with 5S principles).
  • Other tasks as requested by Line Manager.

What are the requirements?

Essential skills or experience:

  • Electro/mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to work from production manuals, technical handbooks and interpret drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic outlook and desire to learn.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Desirable skills or experience:

  • Experience in the water purification industry.
  • Experience of working in a product test environment.
  • Experience of working to quality standards and procedures.
