About the role
The Peterborough facility has two functional areas; an engineering facility that designs and builds mobile water treatment equipment, and a plant that regenerates ion exchange resin and works with cutting edge membrane technologies to provide mobile water treatment equipment for customers.
We are a friendly site, big enough to give you a good introduction to the corporate world, but small enough that you will know everyone that you work with and will understand the importance of building good working relationships.What will I be doing?
The Graduate Engineer will work for the Engineering Manager and responsible for list of key roles listed below in Peterborough facility and Global Asset design engineering. Outgoing and interested in how things work, you will have a natural curiosity that will prompt you to explore where we could be working smarter, Service in mind design approach, faster and better, and we will see the output from this in cost savings, smart solution, quality and on time delivery.
Flexible and with great people skills, you won’t mind helping out with other tasks when we are busy and it’s an ‘all hands’ situation; You will understand early on that our customers matter to us.
Graduate Program will run for 12 months, there will be opportunity to spend time in Design engineering and tools, ERP system (SAP), Project engineering, Project management, Manufacturing, Water process engineering and cross functions supports such as Sourcing, Quality, supply chain and regeneration plant.
Key roles- Designing and project engineering of Mobile Assets, Water treatment systems for Build, Own and operate plants and Mobile fleets upgrades.
- Work closely with Outsourcing engineering team to get done detail designs and drawings.
- Solid works, Auto CAD drawing updates, reviews and creations
- Support new asset testing and QC in the plants
- Material and Equipment’s selection for the designs
- Control design and PLC programming supports.
- Design and sizing documents creation, review and approvals
- Customer deliverable managements for Customer facing projects.
- SAP business tool: Material Master, Inventory, drawing and BOM
- Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, MOC engineering actions and HAZOPs.
- Sourcing: finding suppliers and parts; Technical review of the quotes
- Manufacturing Engineering supports and drawing management to shop floors in Peterborough, Wuxi, Norfolk, Minnetonka, Guelph and other build locations
What are the requirements?
Minimum Requirements
- 2:1 degree in Engineering in Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Electrical or Environmental Engineering in the last 2 years.
- Full driving licence required
- IT literate, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- 1-2 years minimum work experience / Industrial Placement in Water Industry
- Electrical, PLC, SAP, Auto CAD and Solid works experience would be advantageous
