About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Reporting to the Supervisor, you will look after the day-to-day operation of the composting site.
  • Oversee the operation and routine maintenance of mobile plant items.
  • Ensure that recycling and diversion from landfill is optimally maximised.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is accurately and correctly completed and returned to the Administration Department on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis.  
  • Under the direction of management, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Health & Safety issues and company policies.

What are the requirements?

  • Certification of mobile plant is desirable although training will be given.
  • A breadth of knowledge on mobile plants and any other applicable equipment used within the Waste Management and Recycling industry, with certification for mobile plant used on site.
  • The successful individual will be in possession of (or be capable of working towards) a COTC Level 4 Waste Transfer Hazardous (4TSH) certificate
  • You must be capable of working within a team and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • An understanding of safe waste handling and recycling practices is desirable.
  • Previous experience of a similar role would be advantageous.
