About the Role

  • Working hours Monday - Friday 07-45AM  03-45PM
  • Standby call out 1 week in 4 overtime expected as and when required with standby allowance of £200.
  • Salary: £28,718 + £33,687 depending on experience plus bonus and company  benefits 
About the role

What will I be Doing

  • You will provide planned and reactive maintenance for all mechanical areas of our plant. That means you’ll be tackling everything from fitting and fabrication, to welding, cutting and burning.
  • Expect complex overhauls of machinery and inspections of key equipment including gearboxes, crane, conveying and hydraulic systems.
  • At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions.
  • Please note that this role forms part of a 24-hour call-out rota, covering plant breakdowns outside normal working hours.

What are the Requirements

  • To join us in this key role, you’ll need an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) and previous maintenance engineering experience, gained in a process plant / engineering or heavy engineering environment.
  • Any steam raising or boiler experience would be highly beneficial.
  • You’ll be qualified to at least City & Guilds/NVQ level 3, combined with a Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH) and the ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • With a basic knowledge of electrical systems plus welding experience, you’ll be equipped to excel in this important technical role.
